Biography

Wesley A. Goenawein, Jr. “Wes” has been practicing law for 38 years. His main areas of practice include Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Probate, Family Limited Partnerships, and Tax. Wes has a unique talent in explaining some of the most complex areas of the law simply and succinctly so that his clients may make the best decisions for themselves, their businesses, and their families. He has been trusted to represent many high-net-worth clients in Texas for years.

Wes has been recognized in Texas Monthly and Lawyers of Distinction numerous times. He has also authored several published articles about estate planning and tax issues over the years. He attended Austin College, Sherman, Texas, Seattle Pacific University, Seattle, Washington, and South Texas College of Law, Houston, Texas, where he earned his Juris Doctor.

Wes is an active member of his Church serving on several boards and as personal counsel to the Pastor. Wes also serves as the Treasurer and firefighter for a large volunteer fire department. In his free time, Wes enjoys golfing and fishing. Wes lives with his beautiful wife, Rose, and they have an active goldendoodle named Jenkins.
